The season of giving! The month of December, we had a toy drive here at Oak Ridge to get Christmas gifts to kids in need in our local community. Thanks to the CIFC for partnering with us every year.
A huge thank you to all the brave men & women for serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Today and every day we are grateful for your sacrifices. A special thanks to those who served here at Oak Ridge! (not all pictured) Happy Veterans Day!
This past October we had our third annual Halloween Coloring Contest! We asked our employee’s children to help us dress up our fleet for Halloween night! Our trucks needed costumes too! We had many talented submissions from spooky to cute! Between the 3 age groups, we had 9 winners! Our first-place winners got to go to Bicycle Center in Brookfield, one of our very own customers, and pick out their favorite bike and helmet as their prize! Our second-place winners got a $100 gift card & our third-place winners got a $50 gift card. We thank everyone who joined in on the fun & we are so excited to do it again next year!

We attended Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan on May 21st with the Oak Ridge Race Car. We were so glad to see some smiling faces of our customers there.
At the end of July, we had our Oak Ridge Summer Party. We do this annually to bring together all locations & their families and show our appreciation for how hard they work every day. Already looking forward to next year! #oakridgewaste
We participated in a Touch a Truck event this past year at an elementary school in Brookfield, Connecticut. We spent the day at the school with various trucks. Each grade and each class got to come out and see our trucks, sit in them, and blow the horn. After they got to go in the trucks, we gave them some Oak Ridge Branded toys! We had such a great day and look forward to doing this again next year.
This year we participated in Holiday Parades in various locations around Connecticut & New York. We have so much fun doing this each year. We decorated an Oak Ridge truck & made our own Oak Ridge float for these parades. Although cold, they are always worth the smile we bring to peoples face during the holiday season!
This past year we were a sponsor of the 27th Annual Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We had an Oak Ridge truck, along with Oak Ridge employees & their families marching in the parade.
